Austin, TX -- Intego, the Mac security specialist, today announced that Jeff Erwin has taken over as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Erwin brings to Intego 30 years of experience in the technology sector managing companies selling both hardware and software.

Jeff Erwin has worked as General Manager for Microsoft, General Manager for Cisco Systems, and CEO for Pure Networks, and has a solid engineering background as well as experience working with security software. In addition to having earned a degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, Mr. Erwin holds seven patents for computer networking techniques. He has considerable experience with startups, and with venture capital firms, and has served on the boards of directors of a number of tech companies.

Based in Seattle, Mr. Erwin will work out of Intego's Paris headquarters one week a month, and will manage operations from Seattle, and from Intego's Austin, TX, offices, the rest of the time.
